Jaguar team director Niki Lauda hopes new drivers Antonio Pizzonia and Mark Webber will help erase the memory of last season. The Formula One team axed Eddie Irvine and Pedro de la Rosa last week after they managed just eight points in 2002.
"I think the whole team needs a new start, especially after our dreadful season," said Lauda.
"It was logical to me to start with two brand new drivers to give the whole team spirit."
Australian Webber and Brazilian Pizzonia will start testing later this month.
"I think there is a lot of potential here and I'm quite confident next year's car is going to be a lot better than this year," said Pizzonia.
